Centre for Engineering Better Care

A hub for collaboration between engineering, medicine and the healthcare industry

The Centre for Engineering Better Care (CEBC) aims to develop ideas and conduct teaching and research between engineering, medicine and the healthcare industry, principally in the Cambridge area.

Complementing the CEBC, our new 3-year part-time MSt course on Healthcare Innovation is now open for applications.

Our long-term vision is to establish a world-leading centre for engineering better care, aiming to:

  • have impact in clinical practice through training, research, technology translation and a systems approach to quality improvement;
  • increase and strengthen the number of collaborators between the Engineering Department and Cambridge Biomedical Campus;
  • introduce engineers to clinical mindsets, constraints, and work environment;
  • introduce clinicians to a broad range of engineering technologies, engineering systems approaches and practical creative problem-solving.
